ATV: Offroad Fury: Blazin Trails Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories FIFA 07 Need for Speed: Carbon Wipeout Pulse OONLY works on those Game ATV:OFFROAD FURY Here we'll show you how to add both your own music to ATV: Offroad Fury: Blazin Trails as well as music provided by Sony. To convert your own music you'll need the Exact Audio Copy PSP Edition and possibly an MP3 to WAV converter such as iTunes. Now to begin the converting process you'll need music either in .wav format or on a CD. If you are using mp3s then you will need to convert them to .wav because the Exact Audio Copy has a problem with decoding mp3s. Note that if you wish to use a CD then you won't have to convert any mp3s. MP3 to WAV using iTunes Step 1) iTunes, if not already installed on your PC, can be downloaded from Apples website. Step 2) Lauch iTunes and immediately go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced tab > Importing tab Step 3) Here you will want to switch "Import Using" to "WAV encoder" Step 4) Then on the "Settings" drop down below that select "Custom" to bring up a popup and set the "Sample Rate" to "44.100 kHz" and then close out of the Preferences. Step 5) Now to convert any MP3 loaded into iTunes simply click on it and select "Convert Selection to WAV" Step 6) The WAV file will be much bigger than the MP3 and you can drag and drop the newly made WAV to the desktop or any other folder so that it may be easy to find. WAV to AT3 Step 1) Launch the Exact Audio Copy program. Step 2) Click on EAC, along the top, and then select "Convert MP3 Music to Harddisk". Step 3) Select the .wav files you wish to convert and select "Open". Step 4) Another window will now ask you where you wish to save the converted file in .toc format. The desktop is always a good place so you don't lose your files. Step 5) After the destination is selected it should start to convert your .wav files over to .toc files. Step 6) Once the files are done converting you will need to rename them so that ATV can recognize them. To do so you should take away all underscores and replace the with spaces. Then place a hyphen between the artist and the song title. Lastly rename the extension from .toc to .at3 and you're finished. Here is an example ... Michael_Jackson_Thriller.toc >>> Michael Jackson-Thriller.at3 Step 8) After you are done renaming all your newly converted files you can simply copy them to the X:/PSP/SAVEDATA/UCUS98603MUSIC/ folder. Step 9) Start the game and go to Options and then Jukebox. Step 10) Lastly, press to load the music into the game. GTA:VCD&LCS Here we'll show you how to add your own music to either of the PSP's Grand Theft Auto games. To convert your own music you'll need the Exact Audio Copy PSP Edition and possibly an MP3 to WAV converter such as iTunes. Yes, there is a program that will do this made by Rockstar but it only allows you to convert CDs (that were purchased at a store) to the required .gta files required by the game. If you'd rather go that route then download and use the Rockstar Custom Tracks program instead of the EAC. WAV to GTA Step 1) Launch the Exact Audio Copy program. Step 2) Click on EAC, along the top, and then select "Convert MP3 Music to Harddisk". Step 3) Select the .mp3 files you wish to convert and select "Open". Step 4) Another window will now ask you where you wish to save the converted file in .toc format. The desktop is always a good place so you don't lose your files. Step 5) After the destination is selected it should start to convert your .mp3 files over to .toc files. Step 6) Once the files are done converting you can close the EAC and hook your PSP to your PC. Step 7) Browse the memory stick to the X:/PSP/SAVEDATA/ folder. Step 8) Now you need to create a new folder in the /SAVEDATA/ folder for your converted music. Be sure to use the proper folder name and don't forget it must be in all CAPS. N.American GTA:LCS = ULUS10041CUSTOMTRACKS N.American GTA:VCS = ULUS10160CUSTOMTRACKS Euro/Australia GTA:LCS = ULES00151CUSTOMTRACKS Euro/Australia GTA:VCS = ULES00502CUSTOMTRACKS Step 9) Copy your newly converted .toc files to your newly created folder. Step 10) Lastly, rename every .toc file so that the extensions are .gta or the game will not be able to read them. Here is an example ... Michael_Jackson_Thriller.toc >>> Michael Jackson-Thriller.gta Step 11) Now you are finished and can start up your GTA game and turn on Custom Tracks. Congratulations! Please note that when browsing your Savedata entries with your PSP this CUSTOMTRACKS folder will appear corrupt but do not delete it or all your hard work will be erased. FIFA 07 & NFS:CARBON Luckily there are very few things you need other than music and a PC to setup your custom soundtrack for EA games such as FIFA 07 and Need for Speed: Carbon. Here is the setup process. Step 1) Connect your PSP and PC via USB cable Step 2) Go into USB mode Step 3) With your PC get access to X:/MUSIC/ folder Step 4) Put your .mp3 files into there (they can't be .wma format) Step 5) Start your game and go to "EA media center" Step 6) Select MUSIC Step 7) Lastly use the triggers to select all music Notes: be sure to use the X:/MUSIC/ folder and NOT the X:/PSP/MUSIC/ folder. WIPEOUT PULSE Not as simple as NFS: Carbon but better than needing to convert your mp3 files like most of the other games in this article. Simply follow the instructions below. Step 1) Connect your PSP and PC via USB cable Step 2) Go into USB mode Step 3) With your PC get access to X:/MUSIC/ folder Step 4) Make a new folder called /WIPEOUT/ (all in CAPS) inside the X:/MUSIC/ folder. Step 5) Put your .mp3 files into there (they can't be .wma format) That is all you need to do. Your mp3 files should now be accessible as soundtrack options from in-game.
